Bill Allen

Bill has been a member of the SB Thomas Team for over three years now. Prior to SB Thomas, he worked at A. Folino Construction as a Project Engineer. Before that, he worked directly for PennDOT in District 11. In his almost four years at the Department, he went from starting as an Inspector to Inspector-In-Charge for many projects within Beaver County. His time spent working for PennDOT provided him with many valuable skillsets of the management of heavy highway construction projects he uses every day.

After graduating college, he spent ten years working as a drafter/designer for a consultant design firm, Food Facilities Concepts. There he acquired knowledge on the earliest stages of the construction process, from concept to design to construction.

While working at SB Thomas, Bill has worked as an Inspector-In-Charge for projects with Allegheny County Public Works and Allegheny County Parks. These included two high-profile projects constructed within South Park. Additionally, while at SB Thomas, he worked as an inspector for Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s revitalization of Negley Station. Currently, as of this writing, he has begun working for additional projects with the City of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Airport Authority.

In his spare time, Bill enjoys taking the travel trailer out with his family all over the tri-state region. He is also a member of the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Society of Highway Engineers, since 2023.
