Project Overview:

SB Thomas & Associates, in partnership with Bureau Veritas, JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle), and the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), successfully executed a large-scale project spanning eight months. This initiative involved detailed assessments of over 15,000 military family housing units across 12 installations globally, including sites in the UK, Europe, Asia, and Australia. This project aligns with Section 3051 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), reinforcing the Department of Defense’s (DoD) commitment to maintaining the structural integrity and habitability of military family housing.

Our team conducted comprehensive inspections for all branches of service, focusing on Government-owned Air Force housing. The assessments provided crucial data to help ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of military family living environments.

Project Role:

As Senior Project Manager and International Base Executive, SB Thomas & Associates played a critical role in delivering this project. Key contributions included:

• Leading housing inspections and assessments in compliance with NDAA Section 3051.
• Coordinating across multiple domestic and international locations and time zones.
• Managing quality assurance processes and documentation to support DoD standards.
• Providing actionable recommendations to enhance housing safety, integrity and livability.

The team’s efforts were recognized by the DoD Military Family Housing (MFH) and the 718th USAF Civil Engineer Squadron in Okinawa, reflecting the project’s impact and the dedication of SB Thomas & Associates to excellence.
