Fred Williams is the Project Executive for the construction project management group at SB Thomas Associates where he oversees all building construction projects and a team of construction project managers and project engineers. Fred holds a BS degree and a masters in business administration from Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh, PA. Fred has worked in the construction industry in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio for more than 30 years beginning as a union carpenter and progressing to project management and construction management roles with several of the areas largest firms. Fred has worked in many types of construction projects from out of the ground high rise buildings, high rise renovation, industrial, educational, institutional, prison, tenant fit out / class A office renovation, and medical lab projects. Fred has held many positions and assumed many roles in his career- from carpenter apprentice to superintendent to senior project manager. This wealth of experience in leading large complex projects gives Fred the knowledge and experience to effectively guide and lead a growing building construction management division.

Fred grew up and attended school in western Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh and near Butler, PA. where he still lives with his wife. Fred grew up with and around horses so, as a teenager Fred found work on neighboring horse farms where he worked with the animals and even helped with farming, bailing hay, building fences and whatever else needed done on farms.

Fun fact: as a young teenager Fred competed on an equestrian team that toured northern Germany for a month. Soon after however, he turned to more traditional sports in high school and college. Fred’s hobbies are collecting and restoring British sports cars. Several of his cars and those he worked on have placed at local and national shows.
