Project Overview: 

This project involves the maintenance of approximately 3800-ft stretch of Saw Mill Run beginning approximately 900-ft upstream of its confluence with the Ohio River. The work consists of removal of accumulated sediment, restoration of damaged revetment mat, minor concrete repair, and removal of vegetation. 

Project Role: 

SB Thomas & Associates is providing inspection services on this project for the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Mobility & Infrastructure (DOMI). We have staffed this project with a Resident Construction Manager (RCM) who is responsible to oversee the on-site inspector and provide project management functions. The on-site inspector conducts daily on-site inspections, completes daily inspection reports, provides photo documentation, calculates actual quantities of work completed, monitors the contractor’s progress, reviews monthly pay estimates, and reviews and responds to submittals and RFI among other functions.
