Project Overview: 

Under the CM/CI contract with Allegheny Department of Public Works (ACDPW), SB Thomas was awarded a task order to provide advisory construction management services on the County’s new District 5 Maintenance Building project. This project involves four (4) prime contractors and includes site infrastructure and site preparation, relocation of an existing trash compactor, construction of a new pre-engineered metal building including new electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and interior finishes. 

Project Role: 

SB Thomas will provide construction management and project engineer staffing to provide the following services: 

• Coordinate and conduct project kick-off meeting 

• Review CPM schedule prepared by prime contractors 

• Control the flow of communication and documentation through our VPO construction management platform 

• Review RFCOs in conjunction with A/E and provide recommendations 

• Review contractor Schedules of Values and payment applications 

• Provide daily onsite personnel and prepare daily inspection reports and provide progress photos 

• Conduct bi-weekly job progress meetings 

• Monitor the project schedule 

• Prepare monthly update reports to Allegheny County Facility Management department 

• Attend substantial completion inspection 

• Assist with closing out construction contracts
